New name for the future EU funding programme for research and innovation

The EU Commissioner for Research and Innovation, Mrs. Máire Geoghegan-Quinn, has announced that the new name for the future EU funding programme for research and innovation will be "Horizon 2020 - the Framework Programme for Research and Innovation". The funding programme will start on 1 January 2014 following the end of FP7 on 31 Dec 2013.

New forecast for the US eLearning Market: resilient and growing

Ambient Insight has published a new forecast report on the "The US Market for Self-paced eLearning Products and Services: 2010-2015 Forecast and Analysis". They predict, that the market will grow to $24.2 billion by 2015.
In average, they predict a 5.9% growth rate for the eight buyer segments identified, but the PreK-12, healthcare, and association segments are expected to show with 16.8%, 16.3%, and 14.3% much fast growth.
