idea: Social Network Analysis and TEL

Anyone interested in joining me in a paper about Social Network Analysis and TEL?

I have a few suggestions for topics:

  • History and foundations of SNA (in TEL)
  • Network data collection (techniques and data types)
  • Data visualization
  • Data analysis techniques (and what they mean for TEL)
  • Best practices (applications)
  • Future work (of course)
I think we could easily fill 15 pages with this, but if you have any additional topics, please let me know.
Contact me at rory.sie@ou.nl, skype(celstec-rory.sie) or leave a reply.

Hi Rory,

your topic is sparking great discussion in ed tech community: I would like to know more, in particular from a research ethics perspective, that one of my interests.

Have you found this presentation at ASCIILITE 2011 by Buchingham Schum?

I know Simon Buckinham Shum for the tool Compendium (if I remember correctly). I will have a look, thank you!
