What is the maximum partners allowed for Theme Team composition?
The call, by indicating that the Team should be composed of a "small number of researchers", does not impose a strict limit. This means that, provided that at least 3 different institutions are involved and that you do not exceed the budget, even broad Theme Teams are eligible.

What does the expression ”mid-career researcher” in the Theme Team Call exactly mean?
Given the variety of situations all over Europe as far as career of researchers , a rather generic definition has been adopted here, to indicate people who have already developed a certain experience in the research field and who have got already their PhD.

How can I find information about the STELLAR partners and contact them for involvement in my proposal?
Within the TELEurope.eu website an ad hoc group has been launched to give support to the Theme Teams applicants and host communications between them with STELLAR partners.
Go to http://www.teleurope.eu/pg/groups/52824/new-call-for-theme-teams-now-open/

Is it possible to include partners from outside Europe as partners of a Theme Team?
Yes, partners from outside Europe are perfectly eligible, provided that you don’t exceed the budget limits.

Is it possible to submit again a proposal, which was not funded last year?
Yes, this is perfectly eligible.

Where can I find information about the Theme Teams funded last year?
Go to http://www.stellarnet.eu/instruments/theme_teams/ to find infos about the already funded Theme Teams.

Dear Stellar officers,

we are a group of researchers in Paris University Paris Diderot, Leeds University  and Athens (ETL) who would like to submit for a Theme Team.

Topic 2 looks like the one we should apply for.

The output could be a special issue of the journal IJTME

Provisional research questions are

 1) What activity theoretic approaches to researching ICT use in mathematics classrooms is being conducted in Europe?

 2) How can we synthesise these approaches to improve teaching and learning?

Unfortunately, none of our teams are stellar member. Please could you suggest a team that we could approach ?

Best wishes. Thnks for your help.

Dear Jean Baptiste,

as far as we I know, there are at least two STELLAR partners engaged  in mathematics teaching and TEL at school. One is at the Institute for Educational Technology in Genoa, Italy, where you can contact Giampaolo Chiappini (chiappini@itd.cnr.it), the other is at Univ. Joseph Fourier, Grenoble, and you can contact Nicolas Balacheff <Nicolas.Balacheff@imag.fr>. The choice is up to you, or perhaps you may wish to contact both.

Best regads

Donatella Persico, ITD-CNR, Genoa, Italy

BTW. I think we met sometimes ago at one of the DPULS meetings...!
