Methodology and format

The workshop will use the current knowledge and understandings of key TEL projects as a starting point. In particular it will use the findings from the STELLAR Delphi study to frame discussions. Moderators will be invited to put themselves forward to lead sessions based on developing one of the themes in terms of one or more of the following: issues, challenges, visions, policy concerns, stakeholder perspectives, research priorities. Selected moderators will be supported in preparing and running their session’, but they will be free to propose:

  1. What they would like to concentrate on (e.g. policy concerns or research priorities)
  2. How they plan to organise their session in terms of activity etc (e.g. disagreement management, napkin mock-up)
  3. How they will use the results of their session to contribute to the overall aims of the workshop

The workshop will develop a set of activities, based on active methodologies, to encourage analysis, discussion, and specific outcomes. These activities will feed the various sections of the blog (live outcome), and the white paper (immediate outcome) (see section Expected outcomes), and they will be used as a means to describe the current TEL panorama, along with a shared agenda for the short-term and mid-term future. Final schedule of the workshops will partially depend on the profile of the registered attendees.
