Pecha Kucha

What is Pecha Kucha?

You may be wondering what we mean by Pecha Kucha. Have a look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pecha_Kucha for some history.

How will we do Pecha Kucha at the Summer School?

We have a 1 and a half hour slot on Monday evening for Pecha Kucha. Each student will be expected to present on their work.

  • Create four slides presenting interesting information about yourself, for example your bio, your hobbies/activities, your interests, your slogan for life, your motto, your research in a nutshell, your take-home message, .....
  • All presentations will be put into one presentation ordered alphabetically by surname
  • Every slide will be shown for a set number of seconds (20 - 30) depending on how many slides there are altogether (changes between slides will be automated)
  • The person whose slides are visible goes to front and presents their slides (there will be a five/ten seconds view of a slide with the name of the person to present next so that there is time to go up front)
  • The slides should relate to your work  (static content only, i.e. no animation, no video) but could also include information that will help others get to know you

The presentations should be emailed to Maren Scheffel (maren.scheffel@fit.fraunhofer.de) by May 28.

Hello, I checked examples of last Pecha - Kucha, but it seems that people had talked more about their work - research, is that you want? In the guideline that Marie gave,  I thought you ask us mention about ourselves and and general overview of our research. Do we need to mention about details of our work?
