Mendeley is a research platform that helps users to organize their research,
collaborate with colleagues and discover new knowledge. Mendeley records and
analyzes a vast amount of data on a daily basis. Since Mendeley was launched in
2009, its user base has grown to 400,000 researchers who have contributed 29 million
research documents.
Five files are included in Mendeley's data set: online catalog; online article view logs;
library readership; library stars; and article tags. The data in these files will help
researchers to test and optimize recommendation systems in the domain of scientific literature. The data set represents around 10% of Mendeley's article catalog database and user profiles. Furthermore, the usage log data restricted to 200,000 unique visitors, some tracked by IP address and other by their Mendeley user profile, over a limited time period.
