Two partially overlapping data sets based on Web 2.0 service usage for informal learning
in small-scale communities (ReMashed) and working groups (TeamSpace). Both
data sets include user contributions from weblogs and social bookmarking (delicious) as
well as tagging information for the content.
The TeamSpace data set focuses on team collaboration for information creation and
sharing. The data set includes user tracking data for accessing contributions of other
users. All contents of the data set are tagged. The main objective of this data set is to
enhance knowledge sharing and group awareness for work related collaboration. The
ReMashed data set focuses on community knowledge sharing. The data set includes
peer ratings of contributions of others. The collected Web 2.0 data also includes tagging
information of the contributors. The main objective of ReMashed is to offer personlised
information access to the emergent information space of the community.
The TeamSpace data set has been collected since 2007 and has been actively used with
15 users in one working group over a period of 3 month. The data set includes over 3000
user contributions.
The ReMashed data set has been collected since 2008 and has been actively used with
95 users of a TEL related community. It has been actively used over 6 month. The
collection time is still going on. The data set includes over 4000 user contributions.
Both data sets include only publicly available contributions from the participants. The
data sets are not prepared for public access and require adjustments and anonymisation
of the tracking data before sharing with a research community.
