Hi.  The GEL Theme Team explores the educational use of digital games in formal and informal learning. The researchers on the team are:

• Michela Ott (team leader), senior researcher at the Institute for Educational Technology of the Italian National Research Council (ITD-CNR), in Genova, Italy
  
• Maria Popescu, Associate Professor at the Carol I National Defence University, in Bucharest, Romania.
• Kristian Kiili, senior researcher at the Tampere University of Technology in Pori, Finland
• Margarida Romero, Associate Director of E-learning, Direction of Educational Innovation and Academic Quality (DIPQA) of ESADE, in Bacelona, Spain
  
• Ioana Stanescu, a senior researcher at Advanced Distributed Learning Romania, in Bucharest, Romania
• Sara de Freitas, Director of Research at the Serious Games Institute at the University of Coventry, UK
  
• Muriel Ney, researcher at the Grenoble Informatics Laboratory of the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS), in Grenoble, France.
