About me

Jan Pawlowski is working as Professor for Digital Media / Global Information Systems in the Faculty of Information Technology. This includes the research coordination of several national and European projects (e.g., OpenScout, Aspect, TELMAP, Open Discovery Space). His main research interests and activities are in the field of Knowledge Management and E-Learning with a focus on strategies, systems and tools for the adaptation and internationalization of open knowledge resources. Further research focuses are on internationalization competences, knowledge management frameworks for global settings, designing and modelling learning-related processes, learning technology standardisation, learner-centered quality management and quality assurance for education, and mobile / ambient learning. He actively involved in research organisations (EFQUEL, AACE, GI) and in standardisation organisations (CEN, ISO/ IEC JTC1 SC36). He acts as chair of the CEN standardization workshop learning technologies.
